Dusty Wedge The ghostly features in Saturn's B ring called spokes are making an appearance again as the Cassini spacecraft continues its tour of the Saturn system. These dusty features on the rings are often wedge-shaped, as this one is, with the inner portions of the spoke being wider than the outer portions due to electromagnetic effects on the dust particles.
'Tis the Season for Spokes Dark spokes dance around Saturn's B ring in this series of movies comprised of images taken with Cassini's wide-angle camera.

A Full Sweep of Saturn's Rings Details of Saturn's icy rings are visible in this sweeping view from Cassini of the planet's glorious ring system.
Darkness Falls on Rhea The Cassini spacecraft's narrow-angle camera captured Saturn's moon Rhea as it gradually slipped into the planet's shadow ? an event known as ?ingress? ? on Aug. 19, 2008.
